Q: How long have you been at Servca and what does your role involve?
I have been with Servca for just over three years, having started in a Broker Support/Technician role. During that time, I supported the administration of policies, endorsements, renewals and premium processing, working closely with brokers and underwriters to help ensure a smooth and efficient service for clients.
Over the past six months, I have progressed into a Processing role, developing my expertise in Xchanging and ECF systems. I now take ownership of all Servca slip and endorsement processing, alongside supporting our Appointed Representatives and managing BDX processing for several of the line slips we hold.
Q: What does a typical day look like?
No two days are ever the same. A typical day involves processing documentation, handling queries, preparing endorsements, liaising with brokers and insurers, and managing premium and policy processing through Xchanging and ECF systems. I also support brokers and underwriters by ensuring all processing is completed accurately, efficiently and within required deadlines, while prioritising workloads and resolving issues as they arise.
Q: What do you enjoy most about your role?
I enjoy the variety and fast-paced nature of the role, as no two days are ever the same. I like being able to support others, solve problems and help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.
I also enjoy working as part of a supportive team and thrive in a busy environment where there is always something to do.
Q: What skills are most important in Broker Support & Processing?
Attention to detail, organisation and strong communication skills are all really important in this role. Being able to prioritise tasks, manage workloads and work efficiently under pressure also makes a big difference. I've always been good at staying organised and making sure things get completed on time, which helps me manage the fast-paced nature of the job.
Q: Describe Servca in three words.
Supportive. Fun. Collaborative.

A lot happens behind the scenes to keep the processing and insurance side of the business running smoothly.
From handling documentation and premium processing through systems like Xchanging to ensuring policies and endorsements are completed accurately and on time, Broker Support plays a key role in making sure everything is processed efficiently, remains compliant and meets tight deadlines.
Q: Finally, what is your coffee order to get you through the day?
Its got to be a classic cappuccino with extra chocolate sprinkles on top!
